CNN has announced a series of lineup shuffles that will take effect on Monday, October 10th.
Most notably, Jake Tapper will now host a show at 9:00 PM ET, immediately following Anderson Cooper 360. John Berman and Brianna Keilar, who will be removed from the network’s morning show in favor of Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow, and Kaitlan Collins, will host a show in the 4:00 PM ET hour.
The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer is expanding from one hour to two. It will now be seen from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM ET.
With Lemon’s departure from nights to mornings, Alisyn Camerota will co-anchor a program with Laura Coates from 10:00 PM-12:00 AM ET.
The shuffling does leave a potential hole in the network’s lineup, as Harlow had previously co-anchored CNN Newsroom from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM ET with Jim Sciutto. No plans have been announced for that timeslot or show.
This is just the latest in several moves made by new CNN President and CEO Chris Licht. The network previously fired Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter, as well as White House Correspondent John Harwood.
