WWJ News Radio 950 will have a new weekday programming lineup, beginning Monday, October 3rd.
Anchor Jackie Paige will move from afternoons to mornings to partner with Jonathan Carlson from 7:00 AM-10:00 AM. Paige will then host middays on the Detroit news station from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Brooke Allen will now host a two-hour show, rather than a four-hour show, that will air from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM. Tony Ortiz, who currently hosts from 2:00 PM-7:00 PM, will host solo from 2:00-3:00 PM and 6:00 PM-7:00 PM, while being joined by Allen from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.
Evening news anchor Erin Vermeulen, known on-air as Erin Vee, will continue to host from 7:00 PM-12:00 AM.
“We are excited to announce our new lineup, which is full of news anchors who are seasoned and well known in the community,” said Debbie Kenyon, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Detroit. “This new slate will allow WWJ to continue its mission of keeping listeners informed of breaking news and the top stories of the day.”
The move of Paige from afternoons to mornings coincides with the departure of longtime anchor Roberta Jasina. She was removed from the station’s lineup during Audacy’s reduction-in-force cuts last month.
