The alternate broadcast world has an a new entry with interesting twist for the American League Championship Series starting on Wednesday evening.
TBS will air the series between the Houston Astros and New York Yankees but Bleacher Report will off an alternate stream of the game on their app, but only for a few innings. Due to contractual constrictions, the B/R app will offer that alternate stream for only the 7th, 8th and 9th innings of Games 1 and 4 live.
During Game 1, the alternate stream will feature Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zac Gallen who will be paired with sports broadcaster Jaime Maggio. During Game 4’s edition, Dexter Fowler, a 2016 World Series Champion with the Philadelphia Phillies will chat alongside reporter and host Kirsten Watson.
