Bally Sports NBA Insider Brandon Robinson, also known as “Scoop B“, has apologized for his comments about Kyrie Irving and his handling of questioning about sharing an anti-Semitic film on his social media accounts.
Earlier this week, Robinson said the media backlash to Irving was “in poor taste” because Irving is in a contract year. He also added “if the Nets were 5-0, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.”
He walked back those comments in a tweet, adding the offensive statements weren’t his intent.
Scoop B also deleted his initial tweet of his interview with PIX11 sports anchor Marc Malusis where the NBA reporter made his comments. The backlash was swift, with many prominent sports media figures questioning Robinson’s motives and character for his defense of Irving.
