Colin Cowherd raised eyebrows earlier this week by saying he loved a Chicago Bears running back named “Armstrong”. The problem being the Bears don’t have anyone on their roster named Armstrong. Danny Parkins defended Cowherd Wednesday.

NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer makes weekly appearances on Parkins & Spiegel on 670 The Score, and was on with Cowherd, when the subject came up on the Chicago radio station.

“Did Dilfer have any thoughts about the Bears running back that Cowherd is such a fan of?,” Matt Spiegel asked.

“Anybody could have made that mistake, I’ll defend my guy Colin Cowherd on that one,” Parkins retorted.

“Not many people could have made the mistake six times in 30 seconds!,” replied Spiegel. “He created a culture where nobody corrects him! That’s a terrible sign!”

“That’s a mistake, I agree,” Parkins admitted, before a producer said Cowherd should have hired Parkins rather than Jason McIntyre to be his sidekick, which Parkins agreed to by jokingly saying “I would have fixed that culture.”

The pair then joked that Dilfer, who appears weekly on their show, was asked about Justin Fields by Cowherd, and the former NFL quarterback didn’t mention Parkins & Spiegel when presented the opportunity, saying “I do a radio show out of Chicago”.
