Much has been made about the criticism former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher levied upon Jeff Saturday and the Indianapolis Colts during The NFL Today Sunday. Dan Dakich also was critical of Cowher’s comments, but put another CBS Sports analyst in his crosshairs.
“Nate Burleson needs to shut the hell up,” Dakich said Monday. The man is trying to make his point and he’s there with the oohs and umms. That’s what that lady does on ESPN. (Kimberly A.) Martin. Always talking. See, Cowher got annoyed with him. He didn’t even respond when Burleson corrected him. First off, shut the hell up, Nate Burleson, and somebody will shut the hell up when you’re doing it.
“But Cowher went all stupid. Why do Scottie Montgomery, John Fox, and Gus Bradley deserve a shot at the head coaching job? They got the head coach fired! They’re a part of the problem.”
Dakich began is criticism by saying Cowher’s comments were nothing more than “posturing”.
“Yeah, that’s a bunch of crap,” Dakich said. “White guy always hiding behind the minority thing is always ridiculous. Scottie Montgomery, John Fox, and Gus Bradley were there. They’re part of the problem, not part of the solution. I get tired of all the posturing.”
