The latest podcast project from Rachel Maddow has had the movie rights purchased by Steven Spielberg’s production company.
Utlra, produced by Maddow’s Surprise Inside company in conjunction with MSNBC, is described as an “all-but-forgotten true story of good, old-fashioned American extremism getting supercharged by proximity to power.”
The show debuted on October 10th, and has consistently landed in the top 10 podcasts according to Apple Podcasts.

According to the report from Deadline, says Tony Kushner and Danny Strong are in talks to co-write the film.
