Conservative podcaster and influencer Brandon Tatum is one of several high-profile figures this week at “AmericaFest 2022” in Phoenix, Arizona. The event is hosted by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA and brings together some of the world’s most powerful and influential media and political figures.
On Wednesday, Tatum addressed how he’s using social media to gauge the public’s support for the next GOP presidential candidate. Tatum wants the best leader in the White House in 2024.
“I did a survey on my YouTube channel in which 200,000 people participated,” he said. “Ron DeSantis won 55 percent of the vote. “I did another sample where 120,000 people participated on the YouTube channel and Ron DeSantis won again.”
Tatum said he had a chance to interact with “a lot” of people at the event who had mixed emotions about Trump returning to the White House.
“And some have abandoned ship,” he added. “A lot of the sentiment for support of DeSantis over Trump is leadership. Some people don’t like some of the things that Trump says. Some people don’t like his mannerisms, behavior, or him attacking Ron DeSantis.”
According to The Hill, Trump recently published a poll showing him a significant lead over DeSantis.
“This is the McLaughlin & Associates POLL that just came out and which got it right in 2016 & 2020,” Trump said, further adding, “unlike the WSJ, NBC Fake News, ABC Fake News, Fake Polling FOX NEWS, the dying and very sickly USA Today, and most others in the LameStream Media.”
“Right now, Donald Trump is the only one in the race, and he has my support, one thousand percent,” Tatum added.
