Sports radio in Nashville saw a few changes in 2022 with both 102.5 The Game and 104.5 The Zone making talent changes. It looks like 2023 will be no different if the third day of the year is any indication.
A new midday show has been added at 102.5 The Game as the station shakes up its weekday lineup. Chase McCabe will now join Michelle Knezovic from 9-11 am. McCabe is the station’s program director and had also been the anchor of Chase, Willy & DMase. Knezovich produced Robby & Rexrode in morning drive.
McCabe’s move opens up a spot with Willy Daunic and Derrick Mason. They will now be joined by Caroline Fenton. She came to the station in 2021 and had been a part of Stillman & Company in afternoon drive. Caroline, Willy & DMase will air weekdays from 11 am until 2 pm.
The drive time shows remain consistent. Robby & Rexrode will lose an hour, but will still be heard weekday mornings beginning at 6 am. Jared Stillman’s afternoon drive show remains largely unchanged.
“I’m very excited about our new line up because it accomplishes a major goal of featuring new voices in the Nashville market,” McCabe told BSM via text message. “While Caroline and Michelle have been a part of our shows for a couple of years now, these expanded roles will further showcase their talents as rising stars in the industry. I’m also very pleased with the consistency that our morning and afternoon shows have shown and am excited to strengthen our line up in the middays. I’m blessed to work with a group of pros every day and know that 2023 will be a fantastic year for our radio stations.”
