640 KFI in Los Angeles has added Morris “Mo’Kelly” O’Kelly to it’s adjusted lineup, with the longtime personality taking over the evening timeslot.
“Talk radio can be musical, joyful, comical and insightful; all at the same time,” said Mo’Kelly. “We’ve been devaluing the medium by believing otherwise and audiences deserve to have it all.”
With the addition of O’Kelly, the entire lineup preceding him shifts one hour earlier. Bill Handel will now be heard from 6:00-9:00 AM, rather than his previous 6:00-10:00 AM shift. Gary and Shannon — featuring Gary Hoffmann and Shannon Farren — will now host from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, while John and Ken — with John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou — moves to 1:00-4:00 PM. Tim Conway Jr. will air from 4:00-7:00 PM, with Mo’Kelly being heard from 7:00-10:00 PM.
O’Kelly has worked at KFI since 2011, beginning as a producer before later working as a weekend and fill-in host. In 2020, he was named the Radio Journalist of the Year by the LA Press Club for his weekend radio show The Mo’Kelly Show.
Kelly’s show will begin this evening.
