Fox News Unveils Super Bowl Ad Declaring Greg Gutfeld ‘The New King of Late Night’

FOX Sports executives are preparing for Super Bowl LVII to be one of the highest-rated Super Bowls of all time. Fox News is using the opportunity to brand Gutfeld! host Greg Gutfeld as “The New King of Late Night”.

In a now-released 15-second Super Bowl commercial, Gutfeld is shown in royal attire, with even his real-life French Bulldog, Gus, included.

The commercial also features cameos from former professional wrestler turned conservative commentator Tyrus, as well as Kat Timpf who join Gutfeld for his nighttime program.

The short clip is ended with Gutfeld saying “Hello, America,” before the producer cuts the shoot short, saying “These ads are pricey”. The average Super Bowl ad — which FOX has completely sold out — was reportedly sold for between $6 and $7 million for a 30-second commercial.

Featuring Gutfeld in the ad shows Fox News views his late-night program as a priority. Gutfeld! finished second in the late-night ratings in January of this year to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. Gutfeld! defeated Colbert’s show, however, from August through December.

The ad will be the only Fox News promotion during the Super Bowl broadcast.
