MRN Set To Kickoff 7 Days Of Coverage From Daytona

The 65th running of the Daytona 500 will kick off the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season on Sunday, and Motor Racing Network is planning to feature a plethora of content ahead of “The Great American Race.”

It all starts Monday night as MRN helps begin the 75th anniversary season of NASCAR. 75 Years at Full Speed…NASCAR’s Diamond Anniversary will air at 7 p.m.

MRN’s Daytona 500 preview show airs Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Daytona 500 week gets going in earnest on Wednesday starting with Daytona 500 media day at 9 a.m. Pole qualifying, which sets the front row for the 500 and the starting grids for Thursday’s Daytona 500 qualifying races, airs at 8 p.m. The qualifying races, the Bluegreen Vacations Duel at Daytona, airs at 6 p.m. on February 16.

MRN will air coverage of Cup Series practice on Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. That will be immediately followed by live flag-to-flag coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season opener at 7.

Saturday coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. with Daytona 500 final practice, followed by the ARCA Menards Series season opener at 1:30 p.m. and then the Xfinity Series season opener at 4:30.

The Daytona 500 broadcast on MRN begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Alex Hayden and Jeff Striegle will handle play-by-play action and will be joined on the call by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace. Steve Post, Kim Coon and Dillon Welch will report from the pits, with Dave Moody, Mike Bagley and Kyle Rickey calling the action in the turns.
