T.J. Smith, a former spokesperson for the Baltimore City Police Department, is set to become the latest addition to WBAL NewsRadio 1090/FM 101.5’s talk lineup. Smith will host a show on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Smith is no stranger to WBAL’s audience, having regularly appeared on the C4 and Bryan Nehman show during his time as the Baltimore City Police Department spokesperson. He later served as the Press Secretary for Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski and ran for Baltimore City mayor in 2020.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the WBAL Radio family. I look forward to delivering straight talk and sharing my opinion based on my experience working in government and law enforcement. I’m ready to ‘tell it like it is’ in a reasonable manner,” Smith said in a statement.
WBAL Program Director Jeff Wade praised Smith’s ability to speak frankly and his deep understanding of the city’s issues. He noted that Smith’s new show would be a valuable addition to WBAL’s lineup, which already includes well-known hosts like C4, Bryan Nehman, Torrey Smith, and Dan Joseph.
The addition of Smith’s new show is part of WBAL’s commitment to providing live and local programming that informs and engages Baltimore listeners. You can listen to the station at WBAL.com or through the WBAL Radio app.
