ESPN Picks Daniel Cormier To Lead Wrestlemania Coverage

We’re only a few weeks out from WWE’s signature premium live event WrestleMania, and ESPN has tapped Daniel Cormier to lead coverage for the network in Los Angeles next month.

Cormier, a UFC hall of famer and former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, will be reporting for The Worldwide Leader throughout the course of the week.

Daniel has lent his voice to UFC commentary and has reported on the sport for ESPN. But he’s also been involved with WWE in recent months, even being brought in as a special guest referee for a match at a pay-per-view event last October.

Cormier told Sports Illustrated he’s happy to be taking on additional assignments at ESPN.

“I’m getting more opportunities for ESPN, and I’m so thankful for that,” he said.

As for Cormier making the transition like many other MMA fighters into sports entertainment, he said “we’ll see what the future holds down the line.”
