MLB Network has announced Ryan Dempster and Siera Santos have been added to the network’s longest running show, Intentional Talk.
The show, currently hosted by Kevin Millar, airs at 5:00 PM with the pair joining the program beginning on Friday, March 31st.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be back with MLB Network and joining the Intentional Talk team,” said Dempster. “Kevin and I have been going back and forth for 25 years together in this game, so it’ll now be cool for fans to see a little bit of our friendly banter. And I’m thrilled to work with Siera, as she does an amazing job. Now, we just gotta figure out who keeps who in line. Let’s go!”
A former right-handed pitcher, Dempster played for the Marlins, Reds, Cubs, Rangers, and Red Sox during his 16-year big league career. He previously worked as a studio analyst, game analyst, and late-night host for Marquee Sports Network. He will continue those roles in addition to his new work with MLB Network.
Santos joined MLB Network from FOX 10 Arizona in 2022 to host Quick Pitch, the network’s highlight show.
“Dempster and Millar go back 25 years, and even after one rehearsal, we had great chemistry,” Santos told AZCentral.com. “I get to chime in with my own opinions, and trust me, I won’t hold back on an opportunity to roast those guys.”
Intentional Talk was previously hosted by Stephen Nelson, who recently joined the Los Angeles Dodgers broadcast crew for the 2023 season. Chris Rose hosted the program with Millar from 2011 until 2020.
