Media executive Mark Shecterle, who ran sports and news/talk brands in Omaha for NRG Media, has been hired as Market Manager at Cox Media in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which includes 102.3 KRMG, a Marconi Award-winning radio station recognized nationwide for its commitment to breaking news and severe weather coverage.
On Tuesday, Inside Radio reported Shecterle’s hiring. He is a 35 year radio veteran and has been NRG Omaha’s market manager since 2018. He began his career with Susquehanna Radio and held positions with Westwood One, Radio One, and United States Traffic Network.
In a release, CMG Radio EVP Rob Babin stated that “Mark has a strong track record of building and developing great teams, serving the community, and delivering results, making him an impactful leader. His background and experience align perfectly with CMG Tulsa’s high-performing team.”
Shecterle expressed his excitement at the opportunity to join CMG, work with the talented team in Tulsa, and carry on the legacy of success of the stations.

Effective Monday, April 10, Shecterle will join Cox Media.
