99.9 The Fan in Raleigh has announced it has agreed to an extension with the Carolina Hurricanes to remain the flagship station of the Hurricanes Radio Network.
The new deal lasts through the 2025-2026 NHL season. 99.9 The Fan will continue to carry a simulcast of Bally Sports South’s television broadcasts, which are currently staffed by Mike Maniscalco (play-by-play) and Tripp Tracy (analyst).
“We’re really excited about continuing our long-standing relationship with the Carolina Hurricanes,” said Brian Grube, General Manager of Radio at Capitol Broadcasting. “We’re looking forward to providing more great audio coverage across multiple platforms.”
99.9 The Fan will also continue to produce the Storm Watch pregame show and Aftermath postgame show for every broadcast.
“We are happy to extend our affiliation with Capitol Broadcasting, who has provided a radio home for so much of our time in North Carolina,” said Carolina Hurricanes President and General Manager Don Waddell.
The ‘Canes and 99.9 The Fan partnership dates back to the 2007-2008 season.
