670 The Score and the Chicago Marathon have announced a multi-year extension that sees the Audacy-owned station remaining the official radio broadcast partner of the event.
The station will provide four-hour live race day coverage, with three Chicago Marathon shows featuring running experts and the race’s director, Carey Pinkowski, in the lead-up to the race.
“Our agreement with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is so much more than a contract. It’s a relationship and partnership that translates throughout all platforms with the Score and Audacy Chicago brands,” said 670 The Score Director of Operations and Brand Manager Mitch Rosen. “The Marathon is a world-class event, and we couldn’t be more proud of our association.”
“We are excited to announce the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will continue to air live on Chicago’s most listened-to sports radio station 670 The Score,” said Pinkowski. “Through our partnership, we are able to provide runners and fans of the sport with live compelling coverage of one of the greatest marathons in the world.”
670 The Score has been the official media partner of the Chicago Marathon since 2006. The race is scheduled for Sunday, October 8th. The station’s live coverage will air from 7:00-11:00 AM, with Josh Liss serving as the broadcast’s play-by-play announcer.
