Chris Plante is set to take on a more significant workload due to the launch of his new TV show, Chris Plante The Right Squad, which will premiere on Newsmax starting Monday.
Plante provided additional information about the show to his radio audience in Washington, D.C., last week, as stated in a press release from the network.
Plante, who revealed that Newsmax had been working on the show’s details in secrecy for several months, exclaimed, “It’s already great, and it’s going to be fantastic!”
The station’s lineup will change as the program replaces Prime News, but Jenn Pellegrino, the host of Prime News, will join Plante’s panel-based show.
“You can adjust your clocks accordingly across this great land of ours,” Plante said of the 9:00 PM ET start. “It is a panel discussion show led by me. At the table will be Jenn Pellegrino, the veteran Newsmax anchor. She’s wonderful; we’ve been working and playing together for a while now. There will be three other panelists; I know Mercedes Schlapp is brilliant, wonderful, fun, and pleasant.”
Plante stated that the panel-based show would have a revolving group of panelists besides Jenn Pellegrino and Mercedes Schlapp.
“It’s like the Mod Squad, a slightly updated version. For example, we’re not anti-American like MSNBC; we’re on our side. It should be fun. We have the news, the crazy news of the day, and what’s not funny about all the news we have every day?”
