Kaitlan Collins took criticism last week for her performance moderating CNN’s town hall with Donald Trump. Howie Carr is now questioning what happened to the conservative version of Collins that originally burst onto the scene.
Collins rose to prominence as a reporter for The Daily Caller, a conservative digital outlet co-founded by Tucker Carlson.
“She worked for him,” Carr said on his syndicated radio show. “She was a bit — as you might expect, knowing The Daily Caller and Tucker Carlson — a bit of a conservative.”
Carr then played clips of Collins appearing on Carlson’s Fox News program where she criticized billionaire George Soros for his stances on immigration. He then argued — tongue-in-cheek — that anyone who criticizes Soros is labeled as a bigot.
“They’re promoting an anti-Semite to the primetime anchor slot on CNN? I can’t believe it,” Carr sarcastically said.
The show then played a clip of Collins arguing against voting rights for convicted felons.
“Any one of these is a deal breaker for CNN, I have to think,” Carr concluded.
