John Gilliland has returned to Skyview Networks as the Managing Editor of Arizona News Radio and California Headline News. He will also serve as the afternoon news anchor for California Headline News.
Gilliland previously spent 13 years working as an award-winning journalist in the same role for the two entities.
He returns to the role after the death of Steve Clawson, who held the role until his passing in May.
“With Gilliland at the helm, we know that he will continue to carry on the same standards for exceptional journalism upheld by Steve, and we are very proud to welcome John back to the Skyview newsroom,” Skyview Networks said during the announcement.
In addition to his work with the two statewide networks, Gilliland previously worked as an anchor and reporter at both 960 The Patriot and KFYI 550 in Phoenix, WGY in Albany, and KKOB in Albuquerque. He also spent five years working with the Arizona Lottery.
