The spring book is out in major markets across America today. In Chicago, both sports stations turned in solid performances with the target demographic of Men 25-54.
670 The Score led the way locally in the sports format in all day parts.
Starting with morning drive (5:30a-10a), the station drew a 4.2 share during Mully & Haugh, earning the program a 5th place finish. In mid days (10a-2p), Bernstein & Holmes scored a 4.6, good enough for 4th overall. In afternoon drive (2p-6p), Parkins & Spiegel tied for 6th with a 3.9 rating.
Good Karma Brands’ ESPN Chicago was at its strongest in the spring in afternoons. Waddle & Silvy were in 13th for the book with a 3.3 share. In mornings, the station posted a 2.3 share during the 5:30a-10a hours, placing them 18th. That block of time featured 90-minutes of ESPN Radio’s morning show (5:30a-7a), and Kap & JHood (7a-10a). Rounding things out in mid days, ESPN Chicago finished 13th with a 2.6 share. The midday time slot is divided evenly between ESPN Radio’s Greeny (10a-12p) and Carmen & Jurko (12p-2p).
The Score was strong for the full day as well. The station finished 4th with a 4.3 share in weekday prime windows (M-F 6a-7p). It delivered a 3.9 rating and 6th place finish for the full week (M-Su 6a-12a).
ESPN Chicago’s full week saw the station generate a 2.4 rating to tie for 17th. During weekday prime, the station came in 16th with a 2.7.
