“David Neal will forever be irreplaceable as one of the most prolific and accomplished sports producers of his generation,” FOX Sports CEO Eric Shanks said in a statement to the media. “Since the day he joined FOX Sports in 2012, David has worn the captain’s armband as our trusted leader across five FIFA World Cup tournaments, and I know I speak for our entire team when I say he will be greatly missed. David’s legacy will continue long after the final whistle in Sydney this summer. He’s been a friend and teammate to so many at FOX Sports and we wish him the very best as he embarks on his next chapter.”
