Fox News is set to debut its new primetime lineup Monday. In the shuffle, Laura Ingraham has moved from the 10:00 PM ET window to the 7:00 PM ET timeslot.
After the network removed Tucker Carlson from the 8:00 PM ET window in late April, some reports claimed Ingraham was also on the chopping block. However, she simply moved earlier in the primetime lineup.
When asked how her new timeslot was different than her previous time, she shared her enthusiasm for the move.
“It gives us the first bite of the apple and opinion. And I think that will end up being kind of an agenda-setter for the conservative movement on cultural and political issues,” Ingraham told The Messenger. “And I think that’s very, very important in this election cycle. I take it very seriously. And I intend to have an enormous amount of fun doing it. This is my eighth presidential election, starting in 1996, which I covered for MSNBC, all the way up until today.”
The new Fox News primetime lineup begins with Ingraham at 7:00 PM ET, followed by Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Greg Gutfeld each hosting one-hour programs. Trace Gallagher will host Fox News @ Night beginning at 11:00 PM ET.
The addition of Ingraham in the 7:00 PM ET hour creates an all-female hour on the three largest cable news outlets. Joining Ingraham at that hour are CNN’s Erin Burnett and MSNBC’s Joy Reid.
