The state of Vermont has undergone severe flooding in several areas in recent weeks, and WVMT is promoting a recovery fund with the help of Howie Carr.

On The Howie Carr Show Wednesday, the Boston-based host pledged $1,000 for the flood response and recovery fund started by WVMT Radio

“We’re going to donate a thousand bucks to the WVMT Rise and Rebuild Radio Fund. This is what local radio is for. You got to help out. You got to help out everybody,” Carr reiterated.

WVMT Radio representatives have shared that every dollar raised will stay in the state of Vermont.

WVMT — which airs The Howie Carr Show from 3:00-7:00 PM — is currently only broadcasting on 96.3 FM. The station’s tower for 620 AM was damaged during a recent storm.

“We are awaiting replacement parts and will be back on the sir as soon as possible,” the station wrote in a Facebook post.
