Nashville’s heritage sports radio brand is 104.5 The Zone. While some of the names and voices on the station have changed in recent years, the brand’s performance remains consistently strong.
The spring book in the Music City was no exception as The Zone was the top choice for the quarter with Men 25-54. The station generated a 9.9 share in weekday prime (M-F 6a-7p) to secure the top spot. All four of the station’s weekday shows received an 8 share or better.
In morning drive, Ramon, Kayla & Will featuring Ramon Foster, Will Boling and Kayla Anderson posted a 10.7 share. That put the show at number two in its timeslot.
Middays on 104.5 The Zone were also well supported. Buck Reising’s program, which airs M-F 10a-1p finished 3rd with an 8.0. Blaine & Mickey featuring Blaine Bishop and Mickey Ryan registered an 8.2 share from 1p-3p to grab 4th.
Afternoons is where The Zone posted its best numbers. 3HL with Brett Dougherty, Ron Slay, and Dawn Davenport were ranked #1 for the quarter with an 11.0 share.
The Zone’s local competitor 102.5 The Game saw their best performance come in mornings. Robbie & Rexrode featuring Robby Stanley and Joe Rexrode delivered a 3.6 share for the book. That put the station in tenth place.
In middays, Chase & Michelle featuring Chase McCabe and Michelle Knezovic produced a 1.4 were 16th place from 9a-11a with a 1.4. From 11a-2p, Caroline, Willy & DMase with Caroline Fenton, Willy Daunic and Derrick Mason were 19th with a 1.2.
The Game performed well in afternoon drive too. Stillman & Company led by Jared Stillman put the station in 11th place with a 3.1 share.
Ratings information for 94.9 The Game and WNSR was not available to Barrett Sports Media this quarter.
