Four employees of conservative commentator Steven Crowder have reportedly exited after being sent what was labeled as “insane” NDAs after a string of negative press has plagued the host.
Crowder has been plagued by scandals for months. A video purporting to show him verbally abusing his estranged wife was released earlier this year before charges of inappropriate sexual conduct toward staffers were released. Those incidents came after his high-profile exit from TheBlaze and subsequent public rejection of an offer he deemed “offensive” from The Daily Wire.
In response to report from Mediaite, Crowder sent employees a non-disclosure agreement that expected to them to agree to be held liable for $100,000 should they breach their contract by leaking information to the media.
“The NDA was insane,” an employee told Mediaite. “Most employees were scared because of it. Some talked to lawyers about it because they were afraid, but thought if they didn’t sign that would incriminate themselves. He was intimidating. Steven’s increasing justification of his workplace sexual behavior between men makes a lot of male employees uncomfortable. He always says it’s joking but it doesn’t seem like a joke to anyone anymore.”
Steven Crowder has been accused by former employees of displaying his genitalia, and described him as “volatile”, “abusive”, and an “unreasonable micromanager”.
Louder with Crowder is now hosted on Rumble after departing TheBlaze in January.
