Beginning Monday, August 28th, SportsMap Radio will add Luke Mauro to the network’s The Sports Kings.
Mauro joins the show after serving as midday host on ESPN 98.9 in Charleston, SC. He also previously worked as the football and men’s basketball radio play-by-play voice for The Citadel.
“The opportunity to work with Gow Media, and take my voice to the national level, on one of the most affiliated networks, was a no-brainer,” said Mauro.
The Sports Kings is currently hosted by “Mean” Gene Thompson from 4:00-6:00 PM ET.
“Luke is a tremendous broadcaster,” said Gow Media COO and Program Director Craig Larson.
“He’s someone who’s been on our radar for quite some time. I think pairing him with Gene will be a perfect mix of hard-hitting sports talk with extremely charismatic personalities.”
Additionally, SportsMap Radio is preparing to bring back three seasonal programs during football season. The Boss and The Gloss — featuring David Gow and Carla Dawson will be heard on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM ET. The Big E with Elissa Walker returns for its 10th season on Saturdays from 3:00-5:00 PM ET. Finally, College Football Weekly, hosted by Brian Schaible, returns to run from 4:00-6:00 AM ET on Saturday mornings.
