LaDainian Tomlinson Retires From Broadcasting Career

LaDainian Tomlinson is calling it quits in the media business. The NFL Network analyst announced his retirement Monday night via Twitter.

“I’d like to send my sincere appreciation and thanks to @nflnetwork for 10 great years!!” Tomlinson wrote. “Thanks to all my colleagues and friends.  It was a blast being able to stay close to the game [and] creating great football shows with you guys.  I look forward to all the opportunities that this new chapter in my life will bring!!”

Tomlinson played eleven seasons in the NFL with the Chargers and Jets. He was a six-time All-Pro selection and was named league MVP in 2006. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

He joined NFL Network since 2012, immediately after his playing career ended. He appeared on First on the Field, NFL Total Access and other network shows.

Outside of NFL Network, Tomlinson also covered the Chargers. During the preseason, he was part of the team’s television broadcast.
