NBC News has announced Chloe Melas will join the outlet as its new entertainment reporter.
Melas covered Hollywood and entertainment for CNN across its television networks and digital platforms.
“I landed my first job at CNN as a News Assistant right out of college, and I loved it so much that I returned 7 years later. Last week, this latest professional chapter came to a close,” Melas wrote in an Instagram post announcing the move. “It has truly been a masterclass in journalism.”
In addition to her work at CNN, Melas also previously spent time at VH1 and launched the entertainment site HollywoodLife with Penske Media Corp.
“We are pleased to announce that Chloe Melas is joining NBC News as an entertainment correspondent based in New York,” NBC News Senior Vice President Catherine Kim told staffers in an internal memo. “If you know Chloe by reputation, you know she is a relentless, ambitious, prolific reporter who expands the definition of entertainment reporting.
Her first day with NBC News will be on Monday, August 21st.
