Syndicated radio host Chris Plante says the media’s coverage of the GOP debate lacked credibility and substance. Fox News Channel hosted the debate, which took place at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
“There was some filthy rotten news coverage. I watched TV this morning and MSDNC (sic) and that morning joke guy,” said Plante, referring to Morning Joe, hosted by Joe Scarborough.
Plante joked that activists like Rev. Al Sharpton surrounded Scarborough.
“What a piece of work! I had to stop for a second,” Chris Plante said. “I haven’t watched Morning Joke (sic) in a little while, but I turned it on this morning. They are very bitter and angry, and they hate everyone. They had that guy George Conway on; he used to be a Republican. When he came on, I didn’t even recognize him. He looked like Maggie Habermann from The New York Times. He had so much oil in his hair.”
During the Fox News-hosted debate in Milwaukee, eight candidates criticized the president’s handling of the economy and foreign policy. Plante noted that the Trump interview on X was well done in a different way than the debate.
“I thought Donald Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson was very interesting, engaging, and fun,” added Plante.
