ESPN has given Dan Orlovsky a new assignment for the new college football season, bringing him into the studio from the broadcast booth.
Orlovsky has been with ESPN since 2018 and has become a regular contributor to multiple studio shows including NFL Live, Get Up, SportsCenter and First Take. During the football season, though, Dan would be a color commentator on a game broadcast each week.
For 2023, the former UConn quarterback will appear alongside Kevin Negandhi and Booger McFarland for studio coverage of primetime games on ABC.
Orlovsky isn’t leaving the broadcast booth completely, though. He will continue to be on the call for a number of NFL games on ESPN along with Chris Fowler, Louis Riddick and Laura Rutledge.
