A longtime leader behind the scenes at ESPN will soon be exiting The Worldwide Leader.
On Tuesday, The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch shared the news that Patricia Lowry has accepted another position elsewhere.
Lowry, in her job at ESPN, oversaw women’s college basketball across the networks as well as men’s basketball on SEC Network and Longhorn Network.
Deitsch mentioned that Lowry had been a champion for women’s hoops at the network during her 21 years there. She had been a part of internal groups at the network pushing for more coverage.
Lowry joined ESPN in 2002. She worked her way up the ranks as a producer, working on productions of everything from the NBA and the College Football Playoff to figure skating and the X Games.
