Jason Fitz is coming back to the radio. He will join Anthony Gargano every Saturday on FOX Sports Radio as the new co-host of The Fellas.
“There is nothing like the incredible relationships you build with listeners when you get to be part of a sports talk radio family,” Fitz said in a press release. “To have the opportunity to continue building those relationships means everything to me, and to do it at FOX Sports Radio is truly a dream come true.”
Fitz had been at ESPN Radio since 2016. He was let go from the company in June as part of cost-cutting moves.
Since leaving ESPN, Fitz has found another new home. In addition to FOX Sports Radio, his work can also be found on Yahoo Sports, where he has been added to bolster the site’s college football coverage.
Pairing Fitz & Gargano is just the latest move in a string of recently announced weekend changes at FOX Sports Radio, which include the addition of Kyle Rudolph, Alex Curry and Monse Blaños.
“Jason’s addition is such a wonderful fit with the FOX Sports Radio team,” said Don Martin, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Sports, and Scott Shapiro, Senior Vice President of Programming for FOX Sports Radio, in a joint statement. “Anthony and Jason will host such an electric show together, getting fans jazzed up for each weekend. This lineup has never been stronger or deeper – it’s everything stations need to deliver the most entertaining and engaging football coverage every weekend.”
