Connell McShane has a new gig as the former Fox Business anchor and correspondent will join cable news network NewsNation. In his new role, McShane will anchor its afternoon news block, NewsNation Now.
Starting Monday, September 25, McShane will host the NewsNation Now 3-5 p.m. ET edition from NewsNation’s New York studio. Nichole Berlie will anchor the 1-3 p.m. ET edition of NewsNation Now due to McShane’s addition to the afternoon lineup.
“Connell is an exceptional anchor and reporter,” NewsNation President of News Michael Corn said. “As we continue building a 24-hour network Monday through Sunday, his broad and expansive background makes him a great addition to our powerful anchor lineup.”
McShane joined Fox Business in 2007 as a reporter and worked there for over 15 years. He was the chief national correspondent and anchor for Fox Business Network from March 2021 until May 2023, when he left the network.
“The mission statement at NewsNation is to be a source of unbiased news coverage, which is what I’ve always tried to be,” McShane said about his arrival to NewsNation. “This seems like a perfect match, and I can’t wait to get started.”
