There’s a brand new lineup at 104.3 The Fan in Denver. The station has trimmed its roster and reshaped its schedule to feature three four-hour shows.
Schlereth & Evans still leads off each day. The show will get an additional hour, now running each morning from 6 until 10.
Zach Bye is replaced in middays by Josh Dover, who joins The Fan from crosstown rival Altitude Sports Radio. Dover will partner with Brandon Stokely for Stokely & Josh each day from 10 am until 2 pm.
It is a new look for middays, which previously featured The Players Club from 9 am – noon and Stokely & Zach from 12-3 pm.
Afternoons sees a major change. Bye will join former Broncos and Colorado Buffaloes running back Phillip Lindsey for a new version of The Drive.
“We are proud to usher in a new generation here on 104.3 The Fan,” Bonneville Denver SVP/Market Manager Katie Reid said in a press release. “This new lineup will provide a stable and consistent listening experience for our audience. We’re extremely excited to welcome both Phil and Josh, as their high character, dynamic personalities and passion for their Denver community will resonate deeply with our audience.”
With all of the changes, the station loses its long-time afternoon anchor Darren McKee, known to Denver sports fans as “DMac.” He took to X (formerly Twitter) following the station’s announcement with a simple message: “On to the next thing.”
Stupid move…. Players club was good. Dmac on the drive was a constant. guess 92.5 is my new station.
Won’t listen to 1043 now. Bad moves. This just reeks of cost saving measures at the expense of the listeners.
Dmac was a pompous windbag.
Most days he was always on the verge of being quite annoying.
It’s clear that Darren was the cancer that caused the shake up.
IMO Big Al, Nalen and Wolfe left because of the cancer that is Dmac.

Exactly D-Mac was an irritating ass from Boston area and never really liked the sports teams here, he had a constant desire to downtalk Elway l, I loved Big Al the short period we had Nalen on with him, Tyler was great and I really liked Orlando with him. They should have put Chad and Orlando on the drive and got rid of Zach as well, he is clueless, I like the morning show only for Schlereth because Mike is a shit stirring wedge driving asshat that must stay up late thinking of ignorant takes.
Yes!! Tyler Polumbus also left because of Dmac. He was the poster boy for shock jock dumb radio.
I cannot picture listening to another broadcaster with Stoke. WTF!!!
Not a fan of the fan lately. Don’t know whats going on over there but just when I start liking the broadcast they seemingly end shows with no notice to the hosts. Way too much turnover there, going back to Big Al. Now they are breaking up Stokely and Zach!? Just want to say thanks to all the past hosts at the fan, definitely loved what you guys brought to the fan over the years despite the churn. Not sure whats going on with management over there but the optic’s aren’t good, seems like they don’t appreciate their hosts/employees at all. As a listener the constant changing has had me tuning into 92.5 more and more. Not going to lie I haven’t listened to the drive much since they let Polumbus go, and definitely miss Cecil and Ferguson at night!
Never listening to 104.3 again. Dmac is an institution. Not his fault management wanted a guy worth $40 million and wants to hunt all the time to be his co-host. Hopefully Dmac is reunited with Big Al.
Pissed DMac was axed! He was consistently excellent, not beholden to the rose colored narrative of Denver Sports coverage, & very entertaining! WTF led to this decision as last I knew his shows always led the ratings for his time slot!!
It’s funny that the station is called 104.3 the fan, but they actually not talk to the fans via the phones, and they also not talk to any players with interviews for more years 6 years. I just listen to Mike Klis and Troy Renck and then go to real Sports talk. 104.3 the windbags because it’s not for the fans. Irv and Joe and Sandy Clough built the Fan with banter with the fans. No, it will disappear in the radio. You can listen to James M, Will P, Zac and Josh D and their douchey takes. Bye bye.
Already a disaster. Players club was fun though not ground breaking. Stoke and Zach was by far the best show on the network. DMAC is DMAC love him or hate him he was always entertaining. The new lineup sucks! Stokes co-host is learning about a 15yr NFL veteran on the air(doesn’t now he plays golf?) I don’t know how many times I heard Phillip talk about how hard it is to play in the NFL, and talk about how great a leader he was. Feel sorry for Stoke and Zach now that they have to carry the load. Mike and Mark are ok if you’re in your 60’s. Just sad.
Don’t think I’ll be streaming anymore.
If this is what 104.3 thinks will drive ratings and listeners the SVP of the market needs shock therapy!
