106.7 The Fan Remains a Ratings Force in Washington D.C. Summer Book

106.7 The Fan has long been a juggernaut not just in the sports radio ratings, but with Men 25-54 listenership in Washington D.C. The latest summer ratings period was no exception, as the Audacy-owned station produced another strong quarterly showing.

The Fan’s popular morning show The Sports Junkies finished the quarter 1st in morning drive and tied for the best overall sports radio ratings performance this quarter. The 9.9 turned in by The Junkies was up from a 3rd-place, 8.7 share in the spring.

BMitch & Finlay were down ever-so-slightly in the summer book, but tied with the morning show for DC’s best ratings performance of the summer. After garnering a 10 share in the previous quarter, good for the top spot, the program hosted by Brian Mitchell and JP Finlay registered a 9.9 share this book to finish 2nd in its timeslot.

The afternoon show of Grant and Danny featuring Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier remained 2nd for the book with a an 8.3 share. That result was just off of the 9.1 share it delivered last quarter.

In weekday prime (M-F, 6A-7P), 106.7 The Fan finished atop the Washington D.C. market in the Men 25-54 demo, earning a 9.1 share. That figure is identical to its previous 1st place finish in the spring book.

In the full-week category, the station finished with a 7.0 share. That performance landed The Fan in 3rd place.

Ratings information for the other sports radio stations in the market — The Team 980 and ESPN 630 — were not made available.
