Monday Night Football voice Joe Buck will step into the host chair for Monday Night Countdown tonight after host Scott Van Pelt announced he’ll miss the program due to losing his voice.
Joining Buck at the desk will be his wife and Monday Night Football feature reporter Michelle Beisner-Buck.
Van Pelt shared that he woke up with “zero voice at all. Just gone. As a result, no trip to Vegas for Monday Night Countdown or Sportscenter”. The longtime ESPN host added that Buck and Beisner-Buck “will be fantastic” handling his duties.
The reported plan is for Buck to begin hosting the show, before giving way to Beisner-Buck near the midway portion of the pregame show.
Beisner-Buck took to X, formerly Twitter, to share her encouragement for SVP to get well soon.
“Football is family! We got you, (Van Pelt). Rest that voice so you can jump back in the driver’s seat next week,” Besiner-Buck wrote.
