San Antonio’s summer numbers are in. The ratings paint a nice picture for Ticket 760 which just added the services of accomplished programmer Terry Foxx. Both Ticket 760 and 94.1 San Antonio’s Sports Star made lineup changes last quarter. Both are reflected in the latest results.

For starters, longtime Ticket 760 host Mike Taylor left the station in mid-June to focus on his own podcast efforts. Meanwhile, 94.1 San Antonio’s Sports Star ended its local midday show with Program Director Tim Spence and Mike Jimenez, ultimately choosing the nationally syndicated Jim Rome Show as its replacement.

In the morning drive battle, the Ticket splits the daypart with the national lineup from FOX Sports Radio. 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe and The Dan Patrick Show combined to help 760 garner a 4.1 share, 9th place finish in the summer book. Rob Thompson and Rudy Jay handle mornings on the Sports Star. They earned a 1.4 share this quarter, placing 23rd.

Both stations feature national shows in middays. From 10a-12p, Ticket 760 recorded a 1.2 share to secure 19th place. That was the result of two hours of The Herd with Colin Cowherd. ESPN Radio’s #Greeny airs on the Sports Star during the same time, and grabbed a 0.9 share, good for 21st.

In the 12p-2p window, the final hour of Cowherd’s show and the first hour of The Doug Gottlieb Show generated a 1.4 share for the Ticket, finishing 17th. The Jim Rome Show finished 20th with a 1.1 share. Previously, the show helmed by Spence and Jimenez produced a 2.3 share, good for 13th place.

The Andy Everett Show finished 11th for Ticket 760 with a 3.6 alongside the second hour of Gottlieb’s show from 2p-6p. For The Sports Star, The Blitz with Jason & Joe, featuring Jason Minnix and Joe Reinagel — snagged a 2.0 share to finish 18th.

The greater success this quarter belonged to Ticket 760. Positives for 94.1 included being up a tick from a 1.0 in the spring book for the morning show, and improvement in PM drive from a 1.6, 20th place finish last quarter.
