ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit has been named one of three members of the Class of 2023 for the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
On January 1st, 2024, Herbstreit is slated to call his 16th Rose Bowl, surpassing the legendary Keith Jackson for most appearances at “The Grandaddy of Them All”.
Herbstreit worked on the coverage of the game on ABC from 2007 to 2010 and has worked on 11 of the past 13 broadcasts of the game.
The Rose Bowl Hall of Fame was established in 1989 to pay tribute to individuals who have contributed to the history and excitement of the legendary bowl game.
Joining Herbstreit in the Class of 2023 are former Washington offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy and former Columbia quarterback Cliff Montgomery who used a hidden-ball trick to win the 1934 Rose Bowl over Stanford 7-0.
