The longtime CNN anchor started her career at the network focusing on the financial sector, before moving to the network’s Early Start morning program in 2014.

“I’ve climbed the mountain and it’s time for me to climb a new one, but I’m forever grateful to have worked alongside some of the most talented journalists in the business,” Romans said as she announced her exit from CNN.

It was expected Christine Romans was departing CNN for NBC News at the time of her departure. She will be based in New York and begins her duties with the network today.
