Utah Jazz Radio Broadcast Delayed By Spilled Beer

Monday night was supposed to be a big night in the NBA, as the Utah Jazz were set to take on the reigning champion Denver Nuggets. However, for the Jazz radio crew, the broadcast got off to a delayed start.

According to a post from Jazz radio voice David Locke, the broadcast missed the majority of the first quarter after a mishap with a fan.

“Apologies,” Locke wrote, “a guy just spilled a beer all over our radio engineers controls…We are unable to start with the game on the broadcast. Hopefully up shortly.”

Locke — in his 15th season as the radio voice of the NBA franchise — apologized again once the broadcast was on the air, saying “we missed most of the 1st quarter”.

The Denver Nuggets were leading at the end of the first quarter and won the game 110-102.
