As the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel continues, news coverage continues to evolve. However, 770 KTTH host Jason Rantz doesn’t appreciate the way the coverage has changed on CNN.
During The Jason Rantz Show, the Seattle host argued that CNN has changed its position to be more closely aligned with MSNBC.
“They started off covering Israel versus Hamas, I thought, effectively. I thought that they were honest. I thought that they were fair, I thought that they told stories that needed to be told, and they did it in an effective way early on. 100%,” Rantz said. “I’m not a fan of CNN, I don’t like their people for the most part, but I give credit where credit’s due I thought they did really good work. But then you could start to tell that they were shifting the way that they were talking about this war against a terrorist organization.
“They recognize that some people within their base of viewers — the very, very far-left radicals, the hardcore progressives — they don’t support Israel,” continued Rantz. “And if you want to keep them watching, if you’re CNN, you look at the threat of that individual going to MSNBC — which has been pro-Hamas from the beginning — you’re gonna say ‘Okay, maybe we got to mix up some of our coverage. We can’t be so fair to Israel. We’re gonna have to allow at least some of the voices on our network to start attacking. To start questioning.'”
Jason Rantz then shared his displeasure with the network allowing Georgia State Rep. Ruwa Romman (D) on the air to claim that she doesn’t trust messaging presented by the Jewish state.
