Spotify has announced a new partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery that will place CNN podcasts in prominent positions on the digital audio platform.
Under the new partnership, Spotify will host and distribute select Warner Bros. Discovery podcasts, including the entire catalog from CNN, which features All There Is with Anderson Cooper, The Assignment with Audie Cornish, and Chasing Life with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
Spotify will be a podcast monetization partner with Warner Bros. Discovery, and will also handle some advertising sales for the CNN podcasts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Warner Bros. Discovery already has an existing deal for distribution and monetization with Acast for podcasts from other networks it owns, like HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, and others. It also has a license with Spotify to create content from the DC Comics universe.
