CNN will be hosting two Republican primary debates to start 2024. The first debate will occur on January 10, 2024, at Drake University in Des Moines. On Friday, CNN announced that anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will serve as moderators for the debate on January 10.
Meanwhile, CNN has scheduled the second debate for January 21 in Goffstown, New Hampshire.
While the debate in New Hampshire has questions over its location, initially set for St. Anselm College, it will likely occur elsewhere. However, the debate in Iowa continues to take shape.
To partake in CNN’s Iowa debate, candidates must acquire at least 10 percent in three separate national and/or Iowa polls of Republican caucusgoers or primary voters meeting CNN’s reporting standards.
Furthermore, the Iowa debate’s qualifying deadline is on January 2, and the qualifying period for the New Hampshire debate ends on January 16. The organizers will invite candidates who finish among the top three in the Iowa caucuses to participate in the New Hampshire debate.
