Viewership for the Las Vegas Raiders’ historic thrashing of the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football dipped slightly, but it remained the most-watched TV program of the night.
The game averaged 7.98 million viewers, which was a 23% decrease year over year. Last year’s 49ers/Seahawks game in the same week averaged 10.31 million.
It was the first time this season that Amazon’s game didn’t see a double-digit, year-over-year increase in average viewership. The streaming giant was on a 12-week streak of games with double-digit audience growth.
To date, TNF is averaging 12.07 million total viewers, which is up 25% compared to last year’s 13-game average.
There are two more weeks of Thursday Night Football. This week the Saints take on the Rams, and then the schedule concludes in Week 17 with the Jets and Browns.
