KTAR has announced it has hired Bill O’Neil as its new News Director for the Phoenix news/talk station.
O’Neil joins the station after previously working as an Executive Producer at Northwest Newsradio KNWN in Seattle. He also worked as the News Director at KTSA in San Antonio, WINK Newsradio in Fort Myers, KTRH in Houston, and WOKV in Jacksonville.
In a note to staff, KTAR Program Director Martha Maurer shared her enthusiasm about O’Neil joining the Bonneville International station.
Maurer previously held the title of News Director, before she ascended to her current role leading the brand in July of this year.
Bill O’Neil will begin his duties on Tuesday, January 16th, after relocating from Seattle before the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
