Dan Dakich may be heading back to the radio airwaves in Indianapolis. Dakich, who currently hosts ‘Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich’ weekdays from 9-11 CT on OutKick.com, put out a simple, yet cryptic post on X which read: “Make Indy Radio Great Again!!!” along with the hashtag “ComingSoon.”
When one of his followers replied “Indy market and local sports talk doesn’t exist anymore,” Dakich replied, “It will.”
Back in June, Dakich responded to a social post, saying that a return to radio might be imminent. Meanwhile, Cumuls Media had a job posting, recently, searching for an afternoon drive host. Whether or not Dakich fills that role or gains local clearance for his Outkick program remains to be seen.
The Cumulus station, ‘Indy’s Sports Ticket’ 1430 AM is one of three sports signals in the market. 93.5/107.5 The Fan is the dominant player in Indianapolis, while FOX Sports 1260 airs the majority of the national FOX Sports Radio lineup.
Dakich exited 93.5/107.5 The Fan in December of 2022, after being on the station for 14 years.
