CNN announced on Monday that the network is promoting Ryan Young to Senior National Correspondent.
Young currently operates from CNN’s Atlanta bureau, extensively covering law enforcement issues throughout America and reporting on diverse news stories across the U.S.
In a recent assignment, he highlighted the ‘sense of pride’ resonating within police ranks nationwide, acknowledging the swift and heroic response of Nashville law enforcement to the deadly school shooting.
Additionally, Young delivered a poignant report from Mississippi detailing reforms initiated by a sheriff after deputies and an officer pleaded guilty to the torture of two Black men.
Having joined CNN in 2015, Young’s most recent role was as the network’s National Correspondent.
The news of Young’s promotion also coincides with CNN’s announcement of the promotion of Kyung Lah as a senior investigative correspondent after previously covering the 2024 Presidential campaign.
