CNN hosted Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former UN Ambassador and former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) for the latest Republican Presidential Primary debate Wednesday, and saw a strong audience in the process.
In total, 6.4 million watched the debate across CNN, the Max streaming platform and CNN.com. 2.53 million viewers watched the debate on cable.
The event was the top-ranked program in the 25-54 demographic, scoring 509,000 viewers on cable. The live stream of the event on the network’s website hit its highest mark of congruent viewers with more than 100,000 viewing at the same time in the final quarter-hour of the 9:00 PM ET window.
The two-hour debate was moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, days before the Iowa Caucuses take place.
